Ripping the Fright Fantastique

Halloweenie Goodness. Those various wines all have names like: Dracula's Blood, EVIL, Headless Red, Phantom, Vampire, etc.. and we had some Pumpkin Beer and WEREWOLF Beer, lol. I should have put the sugar cookies out for this pic, but alas, they were being nibbled even as I was snapping away. We watched Hammer Horror and had a blast. We didn't get many trick-or-treaters though, I'm told it's because we're semi rural, lol. I baked some red pears in Riesling and Pom juice, then reduced the sauce and made an incredibly good syrup. Oh NOM. What did you guys do?

Holy Crap how can I get Maryann to go talk to my mother? SERIOUSLY, YO.

Yes, I know it's father's day, but since I just put up a post about him a day or 2 ago, and True Blood is on tonight... you know I couldn't resist. In other news caelum_rainieri got the newest season of 24, and clothes for Father's Day. I'm also making him spicey chicken tacos and homemade refried beans tonight. Also, there will be Patron margaritas and other shenanigans apparently. Also, all of our Sparrow nests now have chicks in them instead of eggs! Sooooo damn cute!

Guys, my F-List is the bestest, awesome-ist, wunnerfulist F-List ever! Thank you so much, all of you. Have a fabulous Halloween! The husband is about to come home from work early and take me to see Rockin' Rolla (LOL) and then I'm going to make our Lobster Risotto and Pumpkin Cupcakes and watch Vampyr, Horror of Dracula, and Witchcraft. WOOT! *smooches*

Happy Halloween to all my peeps, 2 days early no less! What are y'all doing Friday? The hubs and I are following our tradition of watching old horror movies and giving out candy. I'm also making a Lobster Risotto with Asparagus and Chanterelle mushrooms.  To top that off we're going to have a bottle of Italian Pinot Grigio we've been saving and Ima make some Pumpkin Walnut cupcakes with vanilla cream cheese frosting. YUMMO!
