A friend is one to whom one may pour out all the contents of one's heart, chaff and grain together, knowing that the gentlest of hands will take and sift it, keep what is worth keeping and with a breath of kindness blow the rest away.

      [info]qweerdo !! Hey you fellow Seattlite! Are you still made at me for intrawebz fighting with [info]julieannie? Can we be friends again? Also, thank you. I just thought I was being logical. His post in his LJ saying that people who are suggesting the cat get put down haven't ever had pets, or whatever he's saying has really pissed me off. I'm debating whether I should say something or not. Not sure I trust myself to be polite. =/

      It's kind of a shame that I even have to ask this, but are you one of [info]nebris's so-called "little spies?" I can't help but notice that you're also on his friends list as well.

      Now personally, I don't believe in "sides" and I have some friends that dislike each other. (L and others) However, I have enough integrity to not be swayed by either "side" and make up my own mind.

        No -- and I totally understand why you're asking, considering the whole cat situation. I have not commented on that, nor will I be getting involved -- I met Nebris through Valartd, who writes for the same press I do. While I admire Nebris' irreverant spirit, he and I are very philosophically different. I like to read widely, because I am very isolated socially -- but I don't agree with everyone I read, and I avoid web drama like the plague.

        (You'll see that on my flist, I have both Elizabeth Bear and a good chunk of the academics that are up in arms about her latest book. I haven't gotten into that discussion either :) but I've learned a lot from reading it.

        I hope that is helpful in making your decision: if there's any questions you have, please do ask me.

      Hi! I'm so happy to meet you! Absolutely I'd LOVE to have you as a friend. We literally just walked in the door from PT with Samson. Right now the hubs is outside playing with him and Delilah in the snow, lol. We took a pic of Sam at the fountain so I probably post it tomorrow. He's so photogenic! Thank you so much for letting us adopt him, he's just wonderful and we're both incredibly grateful!
