I need help deciding which rug to get. For reference, my walls and curtains:

My couch is very close to this sandy/mocha/putty color:

And my furniture is sort of close to this mahogany swatch:

A. I like the colors, don't know what I think about the pattern and I'm not sure the tealie/blue is dark enough.

Photobucket
B. I love the colors but I think the flowery vines might be too frufru for me?

Photobucket
C. I really love that this has both the couch color and the furniture colors in it, but the background may be a tiny bit too grey? I really like this one though...

Photobucket
D. Still my favorite, just way expensive. From a few feet away, the swirls sort of blend, but close up they may start to piss me off.

E. Just plain teal (just added this one and nixed the last 2).

  • I like the second one best, and the first one second best.
  • I rather like the first one.
  • I like rug c. But my interior design skills are suspect.
  • I like C, then B, it's not terribly frou frou really.
  • These are all very pretty but...
    I have serious rug hate.
  • if there's a coffee table in the equation, I like the first one. If no coffee table, C & D are both lovely. C is a little grey, but it compliments the blue. D is cool, but you should never own rugs that make you angry. ;)
  • #1, hands down. If the blue is a little lighter, it'll just look coordinated, but the tone appears right.
  • B or C.
  • I can't decide if I like C better than B, or B better than C. Either way, for me it would be narrowed down to those two...and then I'd be buggered trying to decide which to buy.
    :)
  • I like A and D. They both incorporate all of the colors represented in the walls/furniture/curtains. D.'s my fave too. ;)
  • Oh they are all beautiful. I love the second and third one. Perosnally I think the third one would be a great accent piece.
  • A
  • B or A, in that order of preference.
  • I like A the best. It'll compliment the colours in your front room yet remain understated while tying the room together.
  • A or C
  • D is my favorite too
  • I like A or C.
  • I like B the best, personally. But these things are *very* much a question of individual taste. You're the one who has to look at it every day for the next ten years or so.
  • B and then A.
  • I immediately liked B and C. ^^
