I'm still in love with the fence and gate you put in. I have high hopes for next year we will have something similar. My husband was out in it this morning quick and we have a cuke the size of his hand! And baby peppers. Woot!
How often do you weed? We had to really get nitty gritty with ours because it was getting out of control; shame on us. Also is that a mulch/compost that you made?
I'll tell the husband, thank you! It really only took us a weekend to put it up. I didn't do peppers or cukes this year but I want to try them next year, along with peas and chokes.
We do serious weeding about every 2 weeks, and use Preen in between. It really works well. I'd like to not have to use it, but we both have bad backs, thus our weeding capability is pretty low. We used a safe bark mulch to also help cut down on weeds, once the plants were in. We bought compost and special soil this year because we inherited this plot and it was old and depleted. We'd like to set up our own compost for next year though, just have to clear the space.

Wow, I can't believe how big everything is already! We've had so much rain here this summer, that all my plants are still really small. ;( Not enough sun.
