Mosaic Table Top Pics...

Ugh, why the hell was I up at 4:30 am? *grumble* Anyway, I finished the mosaic table top I've been working on all week last night, that caelum_rainieri will use as his desk in the office. Here it is:

Shards of broken tiles and the bare wood with quarter round nailed on. Also wine.

Tiles arranged and buttered, but not grouted in. More wine.

Finshed table in natural light. Also Koi. And no more wine.


Finished table in ambient room light. Tired now. I feel like I've been busy all week and got nothing done! The garden needs pruning and weeding. The bathroom STILL isn't painted. And I want to steam clean the carpets this weekend. And I R TIRED... did I mention that?

    Thank you! I would've chosen another color grout, but it was going in a wrought iron frame, so that sort of cinched it. =}

        Aww, thank you! I don't even think of myself as especially creative. At least, not very much with crafty things... and these last few years, not even writing anymore. But a few days ago I think I heard my muse whispering to me again, for the first time in maybe 5 years? Ugh, I think my self esteem has really taken some big hits, so thank you for saying such nice things! You're an angel!

          We're officially into the second half of the year. It's going to be better than the first half-- and several years in a row for some of us-- because I demand it. *firm nod* I'm not accepting less. lol

            I hope so! You know, I always post the Chinese new years like here and here. This year said it was going to blow, and I was skeptical. Know why? Because last year was supposed to be good and it was pretty bad, lol. Nope, turns out they were bad, and worse. Ugh. We both demand better!
